Available in a skirt and tank top they have opted for an all-seeing eye in an Illuminati style print with the triangle around it, surrounded by a crystal graphic all in shades of blue. This top would be great with skinny jeans or denim hot pants and the skirt would look great styled with a white vest, the perfect festival look

It also got me looking at the rest of their collection on ZALANDO UK, I came across these funky tees which would also be great if you’re heading to a festival this summer – weather prevailing of course! I really like the lips graphic with colour pouring out.

This tie dye effect cape is such a statement piece if you want to stand out from the crowd. As well as their prints – which are bang on trend this year, they also focus on using a lot of asymmetric shapes to create a brilliant fashion piece. I am a big fan of blouses as they are so easy to wear and go with everything.This black version has a cut-out back to add that little extra. Plus I really love the longer length!

Are you a fan of Evil Twin clothing?

Last night I was invited to Westfield in Shepherds Bush for a seasonal Spanish dinner at Tapas Revolution. I am such a fan of Tapas so I jumped at the chance to try it out!

Tapas Revolution is owned and created by talented Spanish chef Omar Allibhoy, winner of the Acorn ‘Young Star of the Future’ award 2012 and has been described by Gordon Ramsey as the “Antonio Banderas of cooking”. He started Tapas Revolution in 2010 at Westfield, then due to the success opened another at Bluewater shopping centre in 2011. Since then he has been serving customers traditional and authentic Spanish Tapas at both bars.

The bar at Westfield is situated on the balcony level overlooking the ground floor. I liked the layout of the bar with its high stools, open kitchen so you can see the food being prepared and also surrounded by dried peppers, olives and kitchen bits and pieces to really give you a nice welcome and friendly feeling.

I started off my dinner with some fizz, a glass of Segura Viudas, which is Cava Rose to the non Spanish amongst us. It had a great taste and I was ready to start eating!

The first dish to try was some Iberico Ham (Jamon Iberico de bellota de Guijuelo) and also some Toasted Bread with Tomato, Garlic and Olive Oil (Pan Con Tomate). The ham was delicious and the bread was a great combination of flavours. We then had a small drink/shot of Watermelon Gazpacho (Gazpacho de sandia). I have never had this before, it was a small soup drink, sort of looked like a smoothie and turns out it was a really refreshing way to cleanse the palette!

One of my favourite dishes I had was a special of the day, which were Prawn, Squid Ink and Scallop Croquetas (Croquetas de gambas, vieira y tinta de calamar ), different from the usual ham I decided to give them a go. Cutting open the Croqueta, the strange black goo that pours out can be slightly off-putting but trust me you must try it! They were really nice and not too fishy as you would expect.

The fried Calamari (Calamares Fritos) and Octopus and Potato with Paprika (Pulpo a la Gallega) were also on my favourites. I haven’t really had octopus before as the tentacles always put me off, but I decided to venture in and try it as it was all cut up. It was really amazing and will definitely be trying it more from now on. Omar revealed that octopus is one of the favourites and is very expensive to buy in, 4kg makes 1kg of meat and you have to make sure you buy the best octopus!

Other dishes we tried were Ham Croquetas (Croquetas de Jamon), Anchovies (Boquerones), Beef Skewers (Pinchos Muronos con mojo picon), Asparagus with a roasted Tomatoes and nuts sauce ( Espárragos con romesco) plus Paella made with pasta (Fideua) and Anchovies (Boquerones). I could go on about how great each one was, but they actually were so I won’t bore you with my ramblings, go sample for yourself!

I couldn’t leave without of course trying the Sangria. It had a fruity but rose taste to it, was really lovely and very easily drinkable- how very dangerous.

We ended the evening off with some Churros and Chocolate, I’m not really sure how anyone couldn’t like these? They are a sweet little taste of heaven!

One of my favourites Hummingbird cupcakes! Yes, Hummingbird Bakery are celebrating Chelsea Flower Show with specially designed flower cupcakes and I was lucky enough to win their Twitter competition and receive a box of six!

Each cake is designed so beautifully with flower decorations, coloured icing and even glitter!

I am such a sucker for cupcakes, the yellow icing covered an awesome red velvet sponge yum, with the others being chocolate and sponge.

Safe to say they were gone quickly. Thank you Hummingbird Bakery!

Nike has teamed up with Liberty London to offer their beautiful prints as part of their Nike ID range. To celebrate they created three pairs of trainers especially for Liberty’s and I am in love with these Blazers.

The iconic Blazer style has been covered in the Liberty pink flower Capel print which is exclusive to Liberty’s and is the perfect summer trainer!

They are sold out in my size, but on Nike ID they have an equally cute purple pair, make your own here with the Liberty prints.

I discovered Cat-a-Cake jewellery when I met the owner Claire Montgomery at the High Street Fashion week press preview event. Her laser cut jewels really caught my eye, inspired by her Brighton seaside surroundings with ice-cream and cupcake necklaces, I knew it was going to be one to watch!

I caught up with Claire to ask her more about her jewellery and what’s to come!

Cat-a-Cake your under the Spotlight…

How did Cat-a-Cake creations come about and what made you decide to start your own brand? 

I started creating my own illustrations and greeting cards after I graduated from Brighton Uni in 2011. I began selling at craft fairs across Brighton and someone mentioned by designs would look nice as jewellery, so I started to look into designing jewellery and getting it laser cut locally. People seemed to really like my whimsical, cute themed jewellery and designs, so it grew from there. It is still very early days but I hope to build it more and more over the next few years!

How did you get involved with High Street Fashion Week?

I got an email from them about applying just a few weeks before the event. It sounded like an exciting opportunity as I had never taken part in anything fashion wise before. As I make jewellery and wanted the models to stand out and not just wear black I started looking for a local fashion designer to collaborate with. I came across Claire Bryant, a fashion designer of Flax Emporium (a shop in Brighton’s lanes). We designed the outfits together, and Clare made these, whilst I designed and made the laser cut jewellery. We loved creating over the top Brighton inspired outfits! they were lots of fun!

Your new collection Carousel is inspired by your seaside surroundings in Brighton, where else do you take your inspiration from?

Lots of inspiration is taken from Brighton. We based our collection on a theme of retro seaside, and my jewellery includes items that evoke seaside memories such as ice creams, carousel horses, seagulls and more. I also take inspiration from fairy tales- much of my work has a whimsical feel often containing teapots pouring stars and rabbits, cute foxes and deer and more. My cat Buddy is also an inspiration, he forms one of my most popular  necklaces!

Who would you like to see wearing your jewellery?

I’d love to see celebrities such as Adele, Fearne Cotton, Little Mix and Holly Willoughby wearing my jewellery one day! Also I’d like to get more people from the fashion industry aware of my creations- brands, retailers and bloggers!

Do you have any designers that inspire you?

Not really related to jewellery but I love the 3D collage work of Chrissie Macdonald. I also find books such as print and pattern inspiring. And local Brighton artists including Clair Letton, who owns the Cake House artists house I am part of, as her work is beautiful, detailed, colourful and full of sparkle!

Each piece is handmade by yourself, do you have a favourite design?

It’s hard to choose! I am a cat lover so I would have to say the cat face of my cat Buddy. He is one of my most popular sellers too. (Claire is wearing her favourite Buddy design below)

Where did the name Cat-a-cake come from?

I struggled to come up with a name for ages. I wanted something a bit random and something unique. I like cats and I like cake, and I create them in my work…that’s when Cat-a-Cake Creations was born!

What’s the next steps for Cat-a-cake?

I’d like to continue to develop my jewellery ranges and get more items for sale online. I’d like to take part in my fashion events as well as craft fairs to get my jewellery known by a wider audience. It would be great to get a couple of celebrities wearing it too! I’d also like to continue to look for boutique stockists of my jewellery in Brighton’s lanes and London too.

They capture the elegance and glitz that is captured within the film and era, with each window depicting a scene from the novel and film. Lavishly decorated each window has so much detail, with feathers, ticker tape, glitter, fringing and jewels. I can’t wait to pop down and have a look for myself.

It was great to be invited after appearing in their Postcards From Shoreditch campaign last week. The party was a chilled and fun-filled evening with models on roller-skates serving MeatLiquor burgers, macaroons and if you were lucky enough a plastic bauble with a Warehouse voucher inside!  Cocktails were flowing at the bar, a gin and juice affair, don’t mind if I do.

The venue was filled with massive balloons and looked great. There was also balloon making, nail painting and make-up being done all going on. My favourite being the Pick ‘N ‘Mix section -yum! The music was provided by A.M.E who looked fabulous in a Warehouse oversized jacket and gold jewellery, watch my video below of her singing Need You (100%). I also spotted Millie Mackintosh who just kept casually trying to stand next to me.
